A cinnabar lacquer ruyi scepter - 18th Century The red lacquer ground carved in high relief with a female Daoist immortal in a landscape filling the head and a panel of auspicious objects centering the handle between other reserves of auspicious symbols and squared C-scrolls, all against a dark yellow diapered ground with highlighted with some dark green lacquer sections (age cracks, minor chips). 15 3/4in (40cm) long - Sold for $3,000 plus Premium and tax Bonhams.
